About Hermanie Pierre

Ms. Pierre, a native of Haiti was born and raised in the nation's capital and largest city: Port au Prince. At the age of fourteen Hermanie migrated to the US to be re-united with her parents in the state of Tennessee. The transition proved to have challenges such as learning a new language, feeling homesick, and adapting to a new culture, however Hermanie persevered, completed high school (Mount Juliet High School), graduated with high honors and earned a full scholarship to attend Tennessee State University where she pursued a degree in Civil Engineering. Hermanie has participated in different pageants systems and won the crowns for Miss Saline County USA, Miss Northeast Arkansas, and Miss Haiti International 2012. Winning these titles opened the way for Hermanie to participate in the Miss International Pageant, held In Chicago, July 27th and 28th of 2012.

Her volunteering and philanthropic activities include - Nashville Habitat for Humanity; Sophomore Mentorship Program; Tutor Cockrill Elementary, and Pearl Cohn 9th Grade, Peer Counsel Mentor; National Society of Black Engineer Arkansas Alumni Extension Chaplin; Advisor and Public Relations Director for Little Piece of Heaven Foundation; Board Member and Spokesperson for Haitian Organization for Health Services; Advocate for Go Red for Women; Young Adult Mentorship; May Town Scholar; College of Engineering ASCE former President; Organization for Developing Leadership (ODL); Salsa dance Team, Toastmasters International Member. Society of American Military Engineers (SAME)Member Academy
